Haig Kayserian founded KAYWEB in 2003 after graduating with a BA in Media and Communications from Sydney's Macquarie University.

He oversaw the rise of his sole trader business to a national company with international clients before taking a back-seat from day-to-day operations in 2017 into a Board Director role.

My colleague Narek Karapetyan blogged recently about Google's Android mobile operating system, suggesting the business model and development platform was more inviting to developers wanting to build mobile applications.I remember reading it thinking "anything with such widespread developer, or geek, following, is bound to succeed in our industry".This week, Nielsen has released data revealing that Google Android-powered mobile phones have outsold iPhones and Blackberrys in the United States of America over the last 6 months.Importantly, the period in which this data was collected included a full month of Apple's release of its latest iPhone offering - iPhone 4.The Nielsen report says:Among all smartphone owners, Blackberry still holds the dominant share with 31 percent of the market, though its lead over Apple is declining. The United Kingdom is known best known for its Royals, football, bad teeth, bad weather and the Beatles.Now a video produced by UK social media firm Simply Zesty shows how the phenomenon has spread across the masses in the monarch.In the last few weeks, the world saw Facebook users reach 500 million in population, meaning 1 in 14 people globally maintains an active Facebook account.More locally for UK audiences, as well as Commonwealth folk like us down here in Australia, Queen Elizabeth herself became a member of a social network - in her case, photo sharing website Flickr.It is little wonder when you see the stats revealed in the video below.
