Google has released data that Gmail, its email platform now competing with Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes and others in the Business email space, was the most reliable solution in 2010.

Specifically, in 2010, Gmail was available a gigantic 99.984% of the time, while competitors lagged well behind in the outage department.

The data means that Gmail is 32 times more available than the average email system, while it is 46 times more available than its major competitor Microsoft Exchange.

See the graph below:

KAYWEB is an Authorized Google Apps reseller, which is a suite of products for business built around Gmail as the email solution.

KAYWEB Founder and Internet Business Consultant, Haig Kayserian said: "We swear by Google Apps and Gmail, as do the hundreds of our clients' employees who are now using it in their workplaces."

He added: "Reliability statistics are reassuring, but we have many clients switching over from Exchange and Lotus because of the availability of an amazing suite of web-based software and collaboration tools for only US$50 per mailbox."
