Australian web designers KayWeb has built their second dating website for Melbourne-based client Meet A Pet Lover. Meet A Pet Lover is being advertised as Australia's new and innovative meeting place for lovers of pets, who can unleash love for themselves or find a buddy for their pet.
It is estimated that 63% of Australian households own pets and statistics show that 53% of the Australians who do not currently own a pet, would like to do so in the future. Australia is a nation of pet owners, with millions more who currently do not own a pet of their own but may want to meet people who have pets. (Source: PIAS National People and Pet Survey 2006).
Dating website Meet A Pet Lover brings together people who have a passion for pets.
Website co-owner Violetta Muccitelli says: "Dating can be a frustrating experience at the best of times, but even harder for pet owners to find that compatible partner who shares the same enthusiasm towards animals as they do.
"What better way is there in getting people with similar interests together than a website designed for pet lovers. There certainly won't be a lack of conversation on that first date."
KayWeb Managing Director and Internet Business Consultant, Haig Kayserian said his clients are onto "a winner" with Meet A Pet Lover.
"The key is having a niche in the online dating game, and the niche the Muccitellis have come up with in pet lovers is original and brilliant," said Kayserian, who is also overseeing the Meet A Pet Lover online marketing campaign with a comprehensive search engine optimisation package.
The thinking is that pets are integral members of the family and with more singles in their 30s and 40s than ever before, pets are often like children to single Australians and potential partners must accept their pets as much as they accept them.
